Humanitarian Trip to Tanzania

From 11th to the 16th of August 2023, KFMRP organized its first humanitarian trip to Zanzibar. A group of 27 volunteers -including 7 trainers and 16 residents- participated in running medical outreach clinics in villages in need in Zanzibar.

Additionally, more than 7000 KWD was collected as charity and was spent on providing access to clean water, food, and equipment to help families to provide financial support to their children.

The experience provided residents and trainers the opportunity to be exposed to a different population with predominantly infectious diseases. We collaborated with local doctors who aided in translation during consultations & gave us insight on the available management options. The trip was also an opportunity for residents & trainers to bond and socialize outside clinic premises.

Thank you to the Kuwait Medical Association, and our diamond sponsor Alsalam Hospital, and a big thank you to everyone who participated & donated to our campaign.
