Introduction
Potential trainers are physicians trained in the principles of the discipline. They are family doctors, primarily responsible for the provision of comprehensive and continuing care in their training centers. Potential trainers practice their professional role including high skills of communication with the practice team. He/she should have satisfactory practice organization and management skills. They must take the responsibility for developing and maintaining their clinical and teaching skills, personal balance and values as a basis for effective patient care and teaching activates. Provision of the highest level of training for residents will ensure that the best health care needs for the population will be fulfilled. This curriculum defines the discipline of teaching in Family medicine training program in Kuwait. It sets out the criteria to become a Trainer by describing the specific key attributes of a good FM trainer. It provides the essential elements to carry out the educational process in FMRP in addition to providing guidance to build up the skills that are essential for carrying out the adult learning concept and the whole educational process.

Application
Eligibility Criteria
1. Candidates should be graduates of Kuwait Family Medicine Residency Program (KFMRP) or MRCGP certificate or its equivalent that is accredited in Kuwait.
2. Candidate should have an excellent/outstanding scoring in their
annual appraisal for the last 2 years.
3. Candidates must be clinically active, works in a family practice center, approved for
training residents or, currently in the process of applying for
training approval.
4. Candidates should have the desire, ability and time for
teaching.
5. Candidates should demonstrate that they are involved in
educational activities.
6. Candidates should be able to demonstrate their commitment to
the maintenance of high standards and the discipline of general
practice.
7. Candidates should be familiar with the FMRP curriculum,
technical and administrative aspects of the FMRP.
Duration of the program is 12 months
The program is open to Kuwaiti and Non-Kuwaiti citizens
